Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

Obligations of Authors:

- Responsibility for the content and quality of submitted manuscripts, reliability of results, accuracy of facts, quotes, dates, names and so on.

- Respect of intellectual property rights, intolerance to plagiarism in all forms, as well as to unreliable information that could damage the reputation and academic career of other people.

- Correct attribution of authorship, compulsory mentioning of all, whose contribution to the study was essential and who are accountable for research results. Use of names of co-authors, scientific advisors, reviewers only with their permission and agreement on the final version of manuscripts. Prevent inclusion in the list of co-authors of persons who are not real participants of relevant research.

- Providing reliable information about the authors: degree and academic title, work position and workplace, contact information.

- Submitting manuscripts that have not been published elsewhere.

- Timely disclosing information on potential conflicts of interest that might influence the provisions and conclusions of the scientific research.

- Refraining from an inadequate and inappropriate self-citation.

- Manuscripts preparation in accordance with the rules approved by the editorial board of the yearbook.

- Providing information on breach of science ethics, errors and  inaccuracy of research findings if such cases are identified after the publication of the paper.

Requirements for Publishings:

"the International Relations of Ukraine: Scientific Searches and Findings" publishes аcademic articles, reports and communications, publications of documents, historical backgrounds, reviews, academic news (relevant events of scholarly life).

The total volume of a manuscript (including tables and figures) should not exceed 1,5 author's sheet (equal to 40 000 characters (including the spaces between words).

The manuscripts that are sent to yearbook staff shall be in conformity with the criteria decided by the international editorial board. Their general structure should be as follows: interpretation of the issue in general terms, its relation to the scientific and practical challenges; analysis of the latest publications and results of the researches, relied upon by the author; wording of an integral part of the overall issue, covered by the article; posing the objectives of the investigation; presentation of the studies, support of research findings; broad conclusions from this studies and future considerations for research.

Each article shall indicate metadata in Ukrainian and English:

Universal Decimal Classification (UDC);
information about the author (authors) - first name and last name, degree and academic title, work position and workplace, contact information;
full name of the publication;
abstract should be written within 2000 characters (including the spaces between words) and contain the main results of the investigation;
reference list in American Psychological Association (APA) Style.

The editorial board would not consider the manuscripts that is not in accordance with the above-mentioned recommendations.

The editorial board shall correct, edit and, when necessary, shorten submitted manuscripts.
